You could -
-Leave them alone & let nature take its course. A few might make it.
- enclose the area off with boards buried a bit in the soil ( 8'x8' with 2x6s)
Here's what they look like when first hatched
place a terra-cotta plant saucer in there buried even with ground & keep water in it, cover top with chicken wire or fence mesh ( to keep cats/dogs/raccoons, birds etc out ) & see if they hatch. I would also sprinkle it if extremely dry
- dig them up. Put in a plastic container and try to hatch them yourself. Even without an incubator this can be done. You'd need advice from breeders on how to do this. However, in some States this is a no-no.
Honestly , not even sure what I would do. Always tempted to try & " help" nature along.
Thank you. Yes they are buried. Im just worried about something digging them up and running off with them. I think i'll try and enclose that area like you said and hope that works to give them a better chance
