Hey everyone, I'm in the process of building a wooden indoor enclosure for my two 5 month old leopards and I was wondering what some of you guys use underneath the substrate to catch moisture and all the other good stuff from touching the wood? Should I use some sort of tarp? Lastly, should I spray the would with something to make the wood water resistant? If so, would those fumes cause harm to a tort?

you can seal the wood, and you can also line it with a plastic shower curtain or the plastic sheeting painters use.

If you use a wood sealer, let it air dry until the fumes are gone before putting your torts in it.
