I am really concern about all of these baby Sulcata's getting sick! I am always so worry that Chevy might start going down the same path I will have him for a week on Saturday and I hear that the people's who Sully's are sick are noticing at 2 weeks of having them. My prayer and thoughts are for those owners who have lost their baby Sullys or have sick baby Sullys. I am just so thankful that Chevy isn't sick and I hope he doesn't get sick.

I know what you mean, before Buster i had one for 4 months and everything was fine. He was eating, drinking and everything and all of a sudden he got sick and he passed away. I got him from a reptile store that wasn't clean at all and i wanted to get that guy out of their and it was too late.

It will be 3 weeks tomorrow since i've had Buster.

I'm sorry for all the people that have sick baby sullys and i hope they pull through, im praying for them :)

Some times no matter how well a hatchling is taken care of they just do not thrive. I suggest that first time tort owners get yearlings. It is very sad to loose a tort and my heart goes out.

Yes as long as chevy can dry out every once in a while, otherwise you may get shell fungus.

Marty...it would be better to pour the water in directly onto the substrate...just not enough to cover it! i.e. if you have 2 inches of substrate, pour enough water for the bottom inch or so.
