When should I move Elizabell inside for the winter? I don’t have the proper setup or knowledge to let her stay outside. Last year when it started being cold I brought her in at night and then back out in the day if it wasn’t too cool. I think maybe that wasn’t the best practice and could have resulted in a sick turtle so this year when I bring her in she’ll stay in until it stays warm in the spring.
I live near Houston Texas if that helps. So far it’s still relatively warm out with a couple of cool days but tons of rain lately.

I practice the "ins and outs of summer" and the "ins and outs of Autumn." I do exactly what you did last year, every year. In for the cooler nights but back outside during the days. Once it gets too cold during the days for them to go outside, I just keep them in. If the sun is shining and it's not windy, they can usually find a warm spot to warm up in.

I’m glad I didn’t do it wrong last year. I guess that is what I’ll be doing again this year. Thank you
