My 2 year old sulcata has lately been whistling through his nose. He eats, poops, sleeps, and is active. Any suggestions of what is going on? My theory is that somehow water got in his nose from his bath, he likes it when I pour warm water in his shell, and sometimes it accidentally flows over his head and maybe even in his nostrils. Please leave a comment.
Thanks.

My first thought is; what humidity level are you offering in his enclosure....or do you have a warm humid hide for his use? Sometimes when you hear whistling (with no other adverse health issues) it is indicative of a dry environment---by the way, if the whistling is a clear dry sound then that is alright, what you don't want to hear is deep raspy wet sounding breath :D

Also, tortoise like to submerge their entire head into the water...so I am sure your giving him and his head a gentle wetting is much more appreciated than it would ever be harmful...
