I don't think the white spot is anything to worry about.Looks like he may have been rubbing his nose on the wall.
Has his lower beak always looked that pale?Hia, really, thank you. Hopefully, could it be lack of calcium perhaps?![]()
I can see it has on your pfp, so probably just his colouring, thought I’d checkHas his lower beak always looked that pale?
Exactly what I think too. Just rubbed it on something and took some coloring off. Just keep an eye on it for a few days.Just FYI, when someone tells you they'll nfy someone else then they post a name with @ in front of it the @ notifies that person to come take a look at the thread. Do you have a "before' picture? It looks to me like he might have finally lost an old scab or maybe some long term caked on dried food, and that is what was underneath.Hia, I have a four year old male russian tortoise that I have had for a year now.
I have never seen this on him before but when I took him out today I noticed a white dot on nose/beak. I have no clue what it could be?
Thanks![]()

In either case, I agree that there is really nothing to do about it. I'd keep an eye on it and see what it does over time. I'll bet that area will darken up and look like the rest of his face in time.
Hia, and no lower beak never looked pail.Has his lower beak always looked that pale?
Don’t suppose we could get a little insight on his housing? Might help giving any pointers if they’re needed/spot a potential issue, I couldn’t see any details in your other threads
What are your temperatures like all over? Ie basking temp(directly under the bulb), overall day temps(middle and cooler side), night temps?
What kind of basking bulb is being used specifically? Packaging photos are good if you have any
Do you use indoor uv? If so what kind?
How’s humidity?
What’s his substrate?
What kind of monitoring do you have?
What’s his diet been like with you?
A photo of the full set up would be wonderful!![]()
If that’s a recent change I’d definitely keep an eye.Hia, and no lower beak never looked pail.
Humidity Is pretty good I'd day his substrate is coco soil mixed. He's quite good eating wise, and he has his hut under basking light.

Ah I'm not too sure.If that’s a recent change I’d definitely keep an eye.
Do you know what your temps are like?
What kind of bulbs do you have?![]()
I’d get yourself some digital monitors so you can check your temperature and humidity, an infrared temperature gun is a useful buy too! It’s important to know your environmental readingsAh I'm not too sure.
And I definitely will![]()
