Hi, we are proud new owners of an rt named Ãœgway. We have had her for about 2 1/2 weeks. We noticed a weird spot (looked like skin was tight, almost a knot or bump) on her head after ab 3 days and just yesterday it turned white. We took her to the vet 2 days ago just for an initial check up and the vet didn't seem to think it a concern but it wasn't white then. Is this normal?

Hi jenner528:

Welcome to the Tortoise Forum!!

Most of us here on the forum use either tinypic.com or photobucket.com to put up our pictures. Both are free photo programs and quite easy to use. You just put up your picture in, let's say, Photobucket, then copy/paste the code onto your post.

We really can't offer advice unless we can see what you're talking about. But if the tortoise is eating and acting normal, it may be nothing to worry about.

What would you like us to call you?

...and may we know appx. where in the world you are?

I deleted your 6 unsuccessful previous attempts.

Now, in your Photobucket account, you move your mouse over to the little box on the right of the picture and click on the code. You'll see "copied" fade in then out. Come back to the forum and right click in your thread and select "paste." and you picture will appear in your thread like this:

Are you talking about that tiny white area in the very center of his skull? I don't think that's anything to worry about. You can put a drop of baby lotion on it and rub it in if it bothers you. But I think it looks pretty normal to me.
