it's been an unusually warm winter, it's probably going to rank as one of the warmest unless march is one of our coldest.......the warmth has caused a lot of algae in the ponds ........i do see a difference in algae from pond to pond , the difference i noticed and will change , is the way the water discharges from the filter ......... the ponds where the filters discharge above the water have substantially less algae than the ones where the filters discharge under the surface of the water ...... the difference between the two discharge methods i'd assume is oxygen.....the only other slight difference is when it's really cold, in the filters that discharge under the water the water cools off a bit slower , but when the temps are warmer, the filters that discharge above the water warms up a bit faster ..... i'm assuming it's oxygen ......
