I have a 4'2'2 wooden enclosure it is made of plywood and I want to put a baby box turtle inside. I just have a couple of questions. Do you guys think it will be able to take the humidity( it has a layer or two of paint on the inside)? I am also wondering if I would be able to sanitize it?

not too sure on box turtles but dont they need a place to fully submerge underwater and swim? It might be hard with a wooden terrarium.

You could line it with a heavy plastic like a shower curtain or coat it with polyurethane to water proof it.

To sanitize try 10% bleach 90% water; then rinse twice with warm water.

For water, put a container inside; not too deep; and build up your substrate to the edge of the container.

Good luck.
