Since I bought the house I'm in now I couldn't think of what to do with this nice size area that was already built. It's the only area that I have yet to get fixed up (lots of weeds). It hit me the other day that this would be a great area for a smaller tortoise. Right now my sulcata has the run of the backyard but this would make it possible for me to have another tortoise. The area is 48ft x 4.5-9ft (depending on the end) x 2.5ft deep. It's going to take a lot of work but I figured it would be neat to see the before and after. I plan on planting a variety of grasses etc. Lots of shaded areas as well as visual barriers are in the plans. I have no idea what type of tortoise I will get but let the clean up and preparation begin :)

What a great idea for a tort walk. Sounds fun and creative.

That looks custom made for a tortoise! A few burrows and plants, perhaps supplement with some topsoil, and you are on the way.
Looking forward to more pictures!
