YF Eggs

My YF tortoises never dig a nest, which tells me I don't have the correct soil/nest building materials available to them. This a.m. I looked around the doorway out into their "patio" and I saw this:

I haven't been very lucky hatching YF eggs - only hatched 4 so far in many years of keeping YFs. There are 8 eggs, and I've got my fingers crossed to be a little luckier this year!

Who would have thought soil mattered for nesting. Which soil is good for nesting?

Are you going to move them? Or just put some stuff there for her to cover them up? 🤗🐢

Trying out some new coconut mulch from Costco basically a bulk version of zoomed eco earth and its cheep my ground drys out in the areas with out grass so hopefully they will have an easier time a few females have been test nesting in it we will see I guess.
