Weight GAIN?

I just did a "wellness check" on Chug. He's been asleep in his fridge at 46-48 deg since 11.19.17. I weighed him...he has gained 20 gms since going in. How's that possible? He's at 1570 gms right now. At least he isn't getting skinny in there!
I held him for about 2 minutes, just til he began to open his front legs and take a look at his intruder. What a grumpy bit of face! I put him right back to bed and won't bother him for at least another month.

Check batteries in scale - just in case.

Thank you for that suggestion! But...my scale doesn't have batteries. Until he hits 4 lbs, I can use my kitchen scale, which also has a gram scale. Good idea though. It's something that could easily be overlooked.
