Hi everyone!
I found some tadpoles with my younger sister and we decided to raise them at home because the puddle we found them in was about to dry up. I've been looking in the fish tank that we put them in and there's some strange worm-like insect in there (I'll attach a picture). Does anyone know what they are, and if so are they harmful?

Thanks to anyone that helps!

Link to the picture of them as I couldn't upload the image here:

Look like a type of fly larvae. Not mosquito. Probably a good food for the tadpoles.

depending on the type of frog they are. Some tadpoles eat algae and moss, others just meat, and a few are opportunistic. I used to "save" hundreds of tadpoles in AZ during the mating season of spadefoot toads. Highly recommend grabbing some tubifex worms for 'em if they are carnivorous. if they don't eat them, give them a piece of zucchini.
