Not sure what it is you are seeing but I see nothing wrong, maybe somebody with more experience might be able to see it sorry
Maybe if you explain a bit more what concerns you? I don't see anything unusual.
This is a picture of the back leg and part of the carapace of a small tortoise.
Tom, your observation is top class.... how could Yvonne and myself not have seen that?

Hello Nate - are you referring to the transparent edge showing on your tortoise's shell.? This is what new shell growth looks like, and is perfectly normal. Over time, it will become solid in colour, like the older shell - and more new transparent growth will appear on the edge of it ! This is how tortoises shells grow larger - and it is a good sign. In a similar way, there will be new growth appearing between each of the scutes , but that tends to be white rather than transparent,so don't worry when that appears.
