Cashew and Pistachio officially arrived on July 17th, safe and sound, except for the fact that Cashew was flipped upside down, I gave them time to warm up before putting them in their new home. Right now they're in a big rubbermaid tub, with plywood as a lid with heat lamps installed to the wood so they can't slide off. Using a power sun bulb for daytime heat, 107 basking spot, warm temps stay between 93-95, cool side is around 85, night time temps are kept around 86 with a 100wt ceramic heat emitter. So far they live together, but get plenty of separate time apart. Soaks each morning are done in different containers, they both go outside in separate pens when its warm, they also get to walk in my room for 15-20 minutes and usually drift apart. While I am aware of bullying, the first few weeks have gone pretty well, and I'm figuring out plans with my girlfriend, we are contemplating adding a 3rd for a group, or separating into different enclosures, the choice will be made soon, most likely within the next week. Humidity is staying around 70%, I'm spraying around 5 times a day, and there are spikes to 90%. Reason humidity isn't the 80 as suggested by Tom, and other "closed chamber" believers, is because I notice when the tortoises open their mouths they make little squeak noises. No clicking noises with breathing, no discharge or crust around noses, however they do sleep a lot but I know babies tend to do that anyway. Both are eating well, also the other problem I notice is no pooping in soaks. my first tortoise used to always poop in soaks, and neither of these two are using the restroom to my knowledge. They are feeding on a mix of endive, (little amount of spinach) watercress, turnip greens, kale, collard greens, endive, mustard greens, green/red leaf lettuce, and some grass i planted in a special container with no fertilizer or pesticides. Seed mixes from tortoise supply are on their way. Food is being dusted with Calcium w D3 3 times a week with a multivitamin once a week, and calcium with no D3 twice a week. So far I am very happy with both, but am worried about the sleeping and lack of feces. Most likely we will be separating the two, instead of adding a third, so by next week they should have 100% alone time. And now.. for pics!

Also, sorry for the dead flowers, they are being tossed out and I will be adding fresh new ones that are safe to eat and edible, and sorry for the dirty food dish I've been gone most of the day and haven't had time to get home and clean it today :)
