I take the stem off, only because, heck, I really don't know why, I just do, but yes, it is all edible

Yep whole thing, they usually won't eat the stem. But some will.

So, obviously, bigger tortoise consume food, in... large quantities, how many peppers are okay?
I give peppers to the forest dwellers 3-4 times a week. I pop the pepper and put the calcium in it a couple times a week. They're very nutritious and full of vitamins. So it's a healthy treat that can be fed more than once a month

Yeah, they're super healthy. All of my tortoises get bell peppers a couple times weekly.
Mine get some on occasion. The whole thing is edible and good as part of a varied diet.
My tortoise will fight for the red color bell pepper if we mixed in their food.

Hmmm...that is one food my tortoises snubbed a few times!! I will try it again since its been quite awhile since I have offered it to them! So seeds too?
I've never tried bell pepper with my sulcata. I'll have to sometime!
They are very colorful... maybe they know it's good too?
I'm surprised! Peppers have sort of that fruit quality I think many tortoises would like as a treat.
That looks gourmet! Good to know they like it. Do they favor other colors over another?
