Looking for some advice. I just built a 4ft x 2ft tortoise table for my girls' baby russian. Lots of "how-to's" suggested using a waterproofer on the inside, which I did (Rustoleum liquid rubber). My question is, do i need to cover that with something else to protect him? Just didn't know if the liquid rubber poses a problem or not. Thanks!

Guess I should have mentioned that my tortoise is an African Sulcata.
Our learning curve has been hard. Flora Belle is kept inside due to past respiratory illnesses, 1 that turned into pneumonia. she is better now after Doc treatment. I'm concerned that she drinks around 10oz of water daily. Is this too much /little? She urinates around a litter of fluid every week to 10 days. I give her water at one time a day so she doesn't tip the bowl. How much water do they need?
Hi Josh and Gang, I'm glad to be onboard. I have had Flora Belle from a hatchling- see pic to left. She is 8, weighs 33 lbs. It has been hard learning how to care for her over the yrs. I have listened to a lot of information and made MANY mistakes. I look forward to the knowledge I can gain from some of you who are Pros!
Hi my greek tortoise who is almost a year old (will be one year old in December) has not been pooping lately. He continues to eat regularly and bathe regularly (30 minutes every other day in luke warm water) he tries very hard to get his stool out but always fails. He used to be very active and such but lately he has almost seemed weak. Should I take him to the vet? Please help. I'm very concerned for him. Hi Josh, I posted this a bit ago, and so far have nothing, plus two other things. Anyhow, wondering if you can help or if anyone else can. "Okay, Humphrey is a sulcata (African Spur), he is 25 pds, just got him recently, have not been able to ask the previous owner but she told our neighbor that Humphrey eats fruits of all kinds. My neighbor has a mango tree and I am wondering if Mango is safe?
