    Another Update on the June-Bug

No, I haven't changed her name. Juno is still Juno, but I call her June-Bug from time to time as a "cutesy" name for her. So after having a dumb winter, I have moved Juno into a temporary outdoor enclosure. Temporary because we are extending our home and the place where Juno's permanent home...

    Juno's winter enclosure.

Won't a rubbermaid melt? Like on the sides? After placing glass ontop and leaving small openings(ventilation), the tank is staying at a nice 83 around the basking area and 79-77 by the darker side.

    Juno's winter enclosure.

I have like this http://i00.i.aliimg.com/photo/v0/462508052/Big_plastic_dog_house.jpg It needs to be cleaned but will this work? and not really. My parents are keeping a ton of their dumb plants in the garage. There littlerally is very little room. I do have an open shelf, but It wont support...

    Juno's winter enclosure.

I added the day heat light bulb. The store said that they'd give me the night bulb for free when they get a shipment it. It stays warm in there at 2 am in the morning when its raining. So I'm guessing she should be fine. :) I dont think she likes the lack of space, but that is all I can do at...

    Juno's winter enclosure.

She is a Leopard tortie. Yes I did. :) And she is about 5-6 inches. Sorta rescued from the pet store since the people are dumb there. In Modesto Ca. :)

    Juno's winter enclosure.

After more searching. I decided that the light I am currently using will stay. On dark and rainy days, it will be on. However, I found a great deal. When spmeone buys baby chicks, they get a brooder light to keep them warm. For $12 I can get a fixture and 5 a black light bulb(for night time...

    Juno's winter enclosure.

Due to a series of unfortunate events, my cousin and her parents now live with me. Having 2 convertibles in the house(on is mine(i cant drive yet and I have mt own car!) and the other is theirs), we must park them indoors(Modesto has a high car theft rate). This is taking up sooo much room...

    Undertank Heating

Because my parents said that we should use the tank. lol Plus it'll hold humidity in. :) Along with that, we wont have much room in the garage, but the tank is good for a temporary enclosure.

    Undertank Heating

Where would the ceramic heater go? Outside the tank? Cause if it goes inside, Juno can get a bad burn. I know they have personal ceramics for really cheap. Like $20. :) She is a leopard torty. :) Also what about the car being parked? Will she be safe?

    Undertank Heating

Hello again. I have another question :) Juno(my leopard) will be coming indoors this winter and living in a 30 gal breeder tank in the garage(because my mom doesn't like the way she smells)(which is about 20 F warmer than the outside temp in the winter). I will use some all natural organic...

    Wintering Juno + updates

Thanks! :) I have some potting soil I can use, and I also have some silk plants on hand too! :) Maybe I can put the hay in her little sleeping box so she can curl up Thanks! I'll use those tips :)

    Wintering Juno + updates

I will definatley provide humidity. :) So maybe a small bowl would be good. Of course, daily mistings. Now with the car being parked, would that be any problem? I will not cover the top unless the experts(you all) :D will say that I should. But yes, I should have stated, Juno is a a Leopard :)

    Wintering Juno + updates

Hello Hello :) It's been forever since I last posted. So I'll start with an update. Juno is doing great. She is being fed everyday to every other day. She is thriving and is doing great. She still is a bit shy with strangers, but runs(well crawls) to her feeding stone when I walk outside. She's...
