Hi everyone and thanks for the approval! I’m very excited to join. I’ve been reading these forums for months. Every google search seemed to bring up the advice on this forum! I currently have one cherry head hatchling (well she’s now about 5 months old) named Tula, one Russian tortoise named Stuart, and two box turtles. I have a yearling eastern named Waffle and an ornate yearling named Venus. I also have a red eared slider named Jenga

My tortoises and turtles are all outside in an enclosure and my children and I take care of them together. They’ve all become little herpetologists over the last six months

* I should note they aren’t all in the same enclosure. I reread my post and realized it sounded like they were all thrown in one pen [emoji23]

Hello Jenny and welcome from Texas! Quite a collection you have there! Wow! Your kiddos must be more inspired with Nature than mine. I keep the Redfooted who were supposed to be my daughters very first pets to own... that didn’t last very long but luckily I don’t mind. I love our torts, just never thought I’d be keeping ... reptiles (!!!) at my age[emoji23] done only mammals my whole life, one short encounter with bird in my college years. That’s all! Dogs and cats were all I ever knew to keep at home. Then those 2 tiny hatchlings came to our home, and I fell in love! Then found this wonderful community whom I credit for helping me get things right for the torts, and 3 yrs later they are growing (HUGE!!!) happy and healthy. I’m very glad you have found us here and hope you enjoy this forum as much as I have over the past 3 years[emoji217]
