Kerry and I did a "shakedown test drive" to a local beach in Delaware with our bikes in the basket and cooler in the rear.
Bikes fold up and go inside bag

Bag goes in basket

All set with picnic lunch in the fridge

So this big and heavy male Box turtle was first to be found along the road so he got a pic taken and was placed on the other side. He was gorgeous till he got nervous and closed up.
So we continued to the water where we found this American Bald Eagle resting in a parking lot!

It turned out that he was waiting for us to move our car so he could take a dead Diamond back Terrapin. Sad

Then we walked onto the beach and it got worse. Another dead Terrapin

We also found dozens of Horseshoe crabs....Blue Bloods were everywhere!

We left there around noon to head back then we decided to take the long way home. The roads got curvy and Kerry nearly took out a 5-6' Black snake laying out to warm up. No pics of him.
We did wrap up the day right by finding this Diamondback terrapin! A beautiful turtle

She also got famous for 5 minutes then put back where she was headed.
Mama deer just walked by a couple minutes ago before the thunderstorms began...
Maybe she will pick up her fawn and bring her by to show her off?
An excellent day!
