I am moving to Colorado (currently 8 degrees) from Texas and I need to rehome my beautiful baby. She is in excellent health and has a wonderful disposition. Igloo is about 5 years old and still growing. I last weighed her (2 summers ago) at about 48 pounds - she has grown since that time. She is...
I've noticed that Igloo's upper lip is looking very overgrown - the ridges look too long, and I noticed that when she is trying to take a bite of squash, she ends up pushing the pieces further away instead of biting into them. Beak trimming in birds is very common. Has anyone heard of such a...
I've read the posts on building a outdoor box for Igloo (thank you!). What I need to know is, what is the brand of heating "pad" that is being used? Are some better than others for outdoor use? The type of pad used in the posts looks to be larger and of a better quality than what I'm seeing in...
Hi guys! Igloo has moved with me from Tennessee to Austin Texas. I know there are a few sully owners in the great state of TX - when do you guys start prepping for winter and what kind of set up do you have? Igloo is a 3year old female and about 30-35LBS and she is outdoors 100% of the time now...
Igloo is now weighing in at 11.25 pounds and is measuring about 12 inches in length. The white banding has grown dramatically and spread to a few other areas. I'm reading conflicting information about sexing - any hints as to what Igloo may be?
I posted a few weeks ago (though now I can't find any previous posts that I've made!) about a strange white line that started across Igloo's back. The line has grown bigger. Still no idea what or why it's there...any ideas?Previous growth.
Today's growth
I just noticed this strange mark on Igloo in the past few days. Is this a weird growth ring? What would cause this sort of coloration/lack of color? Has anyone seen anything like this before?
Other than this he's as happy as a clam, eating well and growing.
One year ago today, the UPS man delivered a tiny 3.5 inch, 0.25Lb dinosaur to our door! I can't believe that even after a year, getting up each morning to prepare his food and watch him eat...still has me fascinated! Igloo is now 3.0Lbs and 7.5" in length! Seeing the older giants on here has us...
I was wondering what most of you are using for a hide as your tort grows, but is still small enough to be in the under the bed tote? We've recently moved Igloo to our living room since it retains a more steady temp during the winter months. He has outgrown the ceramic hide I made for him - so we...
almost one year ago, I joined this forum because we planned to order our first sully right after the first of the year. It is almost time to celebrate Igloo's birthday! When we purchased him, we were told he was a yearling (and paid higher for a yearling) but he was in fact, only a few months...

Some are super cute - quite a few sully's, sea turtles and silly, shelled slinkers
Location is Springfield Tennessee about 40 minutes away. I can assist with transport or shipping if anyone can take him. Picture is awful but looks to be a big one.

Igloo is 16 months old and 266 grams or 9.38 ounces or roughly 0.5 pound - I'm trying to gauge if my sully is at the appropriate weight for his age and if he is on the larger or smaller side (or just right!). At his late Vet weigh in (last week) he was 257 grams. Does anyone have a sully about...
I took Igloo to the Vet yesterday and she thinks Igloo has an upper respiratory infection. He was given a Baytril injection (the husbandry issues are already in place) and she suggested bringing him back for a second injection next week.
After bringing him home, he didn't come out of his shell...
