Yeah he's used to me handling him but I don't carry him around and stuff he pretty much explores and does his own thing. If I speak tho he responds and I know its noise not my voice. I'd just never heard him make that noise before. It was out of the ordinary.

I have handled him since day one and I talk to him every day. Just relaxing on couch I put him on my stomach, talk to him and he practically runs to my face then starts to burrow. I tell people and they think I'm nuts haha

I've had him for over a year and he soaks almost daily. Picture is blurry and it's not bad at all. I've heard just a dab of an unscented lotion was ok. Just my curiosity.

What is recommended for a dry shell? I've got some lotion from hospital that really has nothing in it. Thought I'd get opinions first. It's not cracking or anything just looks dry. Ty

Oh no problem not upset that's what a forum is. I do have the pellets but I have not been able to get him to eat them. I have no problem looking for the hays.

Prince is a Russian tortoise. Cut veggies yes I mean store bought cauliflower, broccoli and occasionally cucumber he does not like carrots. I grow wild flowers like some mentioned, and vegetables just for leafs. He likes kale, romain and spinach to mention a few. He looks good, is active, eats...

Prince has veggie leafs everywhere I grow my own where he has access I cut up raw veggies daily he eats if he wants. I think he only ate the cooked veggies because I was hand feeding it one time. As for soaking I do that daily and he has a pond if he chooses to use. Thankyou all for the advice..

It was mostly green beans cause I hand fed. I steamed a small amount of cauliflower & broccoli today. He didn't touch ate the raw leafy veggie blend always available to him. Guess they know best. Silly torts ❤

Thanks for that I'd hate to think he was aggravated with me having for over a year. He snuggles with me and eats outta hand. Doesn't seem to mind me around him he even follows me. Love my Prince

Yeah he's very active. He does not see himself at all and there are no other pets just to clarify that. Prince doesn't head bob freaquently I was just curious. Tx
