How’s he doing today? Have his eyes opened at all?
Still closed.. I soaked him twice today for 30mins and I also gave him grass. I just have to help him eat bc of his undeveloped jaw. Am I doing it right to feed him small meals every 2 hours?

re-read the baby sulcata care sheet and double check your temperatures all over the habitat. He should start opening his eyes with all that soaking - UNLESS something else is wrong with the way you have him set up. So double check everything!

I live in the Philippines, and weather here is usually around 80 degrees and 87% humidity. But since it's now rainy season, I'd have to bring him inside. That's why I asked my father to make a movable enclosure for Groot.. Your comments and suggestions are very much needed [emoji4]

UPDATE:

Here is the new enclosure of Groot [emoji4] 3x1.5 ft and 10inches in height made of wood.

I usually bring him outside in the morning then soak for 30minutes before I put him in the enclosure. I use Repti Bark as substrate and damp moss inside the humid hide - the part with a handle that I can easily open and clean.

I asked my father to build an open top enclosure with screen so I can just bring the whole thing outside.

Am I on the right track?

Do I still need a CHE since the weather here in the Philippines is 80 degrees with 80% humidity?

What should be the height of the basking light from the enclosure?

Thank you! [emoji4] 20180704_191936.jpeg20180704_191003.jpeg20180704_190759.jpeg20180704_200455.jpeg

Hi! How often will Groot move around and/or try to eat. Does Groot ever try to thermoregulate by moving in and out of heat or does Groot not move at all? For the Che how hot is the enclosure and how cold at night?
