I started soaking my redfoot 2 times the last 3 days and whenever I soaked him in the warm water he defecated. The thing is when I only soak him once a day, he defecated once.

Is it bad that he is defecating more often now that I am soaking him 2x more often? Is it bad to induce this? I am sure he hasn't been defecating when he is not being soaked because he's always sleeping.

I don't see it as a problem. If he doesn't have to go he won't. Mine usually do, but sometimes they don't.

if you got to go, you got to go..
the biger issue is urinating.. if a tort pees a lot or pees when it gets picked up and it DOES NOT have access to a good soak or replenish of water, then it can dehydrate.
as long as your tort is eating well.. it sounds normal.
