So today it was raining pretty bad all day and we had flash flood warnings for nearby areas but not my house. Either way I was thinking to myself should I bring my torts in tonight, it's gunna be cool and they probably didn't get much basking time today, I don't have much to put them in as I wasn't expecting this so we will see when we get home, maybe they are fine outside tonight.

I had left the key to their pen with my room mate this morning an asked him to bring them in if it starts to flood. I get home and he had already left for work so I grabbed the key and went out back to check. I wasn't worried as he hadnt brought them in and it has rained like this several times before during the summer and they are always fine. I get to the pen to see roshi sitting out in the pouring rain, looking just miserable, and tamachan poking out of her hide/burrow, also looking miserable. It had actually flooded their pen this time!!! Both hides in both pens were soaked through! So needless to say they came in with me haha, I didn't have their winter pen ready so this will have to do for this week while it rains, then they can at least spend days outside if not nights again.

They loved the basking lamp, and while there is no hide there is about 6 inches of coco for them to dig into for now.

That is fine for overnight. I bet they did like being able to warm up a bit after a cool rainy day.

So if she has laid eggs in her pen do you think a flooding like that is likely to drown any eggs or will them be fine? I don't even know if she laid any I just know it is a possibility, and the pen wasn't actually flooded as in they were swimming, it was just soaked with some puddles and inside their hides were definitely wet.
