Acquired a red foot

Hello everyone, I hope all is well. I took in a redfoot from a woman on Craigslist. She was a very nice person and cared for the tortoise but had to let it go because of financial situations. She seemed a little dry and neglected but is very active. From what I was told she is 2 years old and is about 4inches. (First 5 pics are from when I just got her) so I soaked her for half an hour and am now feeding her spring mix with some calcium.

I have a Russian tortoise and am not so familiar. Any personal and inexpensive tips to care for the redfoot? (Last 4 pics are after soak and care)

If you didn’t already know, they are a tropical species from South American, keep his enclosure at the recommended humidity

Hi there and thank for taking this little one on. Looks pretty good to me but I am no expert. Just follow the care sheets here for redfoots diet, humidity and temperatures and he should be fine.

Welcome to the forum from a fellow Redfoot keeper That Tortoise doesn't look neglected at all. In fact it looks like it's been pretty well taken care of. Follow the care sheets on the forum and you should be fine.

Thanks for the welcome! She looked a little dry and had dirt on her bottom is all. Nothing a soak can’t fix. Thanks!
