Last year I planted some oat grass to cover where I tore the ground up with a dozer and it grows like crazy, it was 2" tall in 5 days. a nice dark green wide blade grass that the tortoises go crazy over. 21 hours of daylight helps I'm sure.

Do you have any special blend to keep up with those guys ?

Not really. I seed with a general field mix and irrigate regularly. Never use fertilizer or pesticides. Most of the natural vegetation here is good for tortoises. The few they do not eat i pull them out as i police the field every day.
