So do you have a fence separating the smaller ones from the adults?

* Yes, the adult aldabra breeding group is completely separated from any younger aldabras!

Oh ok

* It is truly best, basically just because of the enormous size differences and safety!

Very nice to see very smooth juveniles :D

I wish I can find another smooth hatchling to raise, but so far all the hatchlings here already start to pyramid.

Off topic, but can adult aldabras float and possibly swim? Just wondered b/c theyre so big!

Haha I've asked that question not long ago here. But I will let Greg answer that as this is his thread :D

"He" is great greg. Now lets see some of Sampson :D I love Sampson he is awesome.

Kelly, I remember you are building facilities for aldabra and galapago. Can you share the progress? Can't wait for your first aldabra and galapago, or if you already get them, please open a new thread and share them :D

Sorry Greg to use your thread to ask Kelly, as Kelly has no specific one in aldabra forum :)

That's great news. You might want to start thread here with the already prepared enclosure if you wish. I really wish you can get adult ones, although I'm really wondering how to get that :)

Well, back to thread tittle now, is there a way to distinguish or predict male or female aldabra when they are still pretty small? If not, then at what size can you determine its sex? :tort:

* They have been documented to swim/float! Actually there are several u-tube videos of them floating in sea water.

No stress here, sleeping in the shadows mid day! I just love it when they are happy and content!
