Well, I waited until after they had all buried themselves and gone to sleep. So they were all pretty calm for a little while, but I still only got a few pictures taken before the flash started getting them moving all around.

Awesome! Speaking of box turtles....found this little gal this past weekend....the first time we found an ornate box turtle....so we were pretty happy!

Now that you mention it Danny....that is strange and I never noticed that. Well, biologists are trying to gather information on them because they aren't being seen very often. I am sure all the border patrol traffic doesn't help the population either. It has become "protected" in Arizona to a certain extent.
