Happy Saturday!
I was at my local nursery and got this plain aloe Vera. Is this something I can have in my sulcata enclosure that is safe for have and eat.. I also read about this one but didn’t buy as I was unsure.

Opuntia cactus is more commonly eaten and it's very good for any tortoise.

Our Sully loves hunks of Aloe. Every month or so, we’ll purchase a foot long spike of aloe & I’ll chop it up in large chunks & feed. It’s a good occasional food & keeps torts “regular” especially in Winter months.

I guess you might say it's an "acquired" taste? Or maybe it's more a matter of evolution in a particular natural habitat? Like the reason we don't give Sulcatas fruit?
