Two weeks ago two eggs hatched out of a clutch of 17. I didn't look into the incubator until they had been out of the eggs for about a day or so. So when I finally took a look inside, one of the babies had the membrane from inside the egg stuck over its nostrils, where it had dried, suffocating the baby. So I had one baby with aberrant scutes.
Day before yesterday two more hatched, and two more yesterday.
Why don't all the eggs in the clutch hatch at the same time? I'd like to keep the black one, but the others, along with whatever continues to hatch from that clutch, will be available for sale at Kapidolo Farms in a few weeks.
