About the heat for babie Leopards? So I want to know what is best for them at the moment. I have 2 bigger 1s downstarits and my real babie up stairs in a tank (shes really small i dont like tanks from stress and i have paper to cover glass). Any how the tank has her hot spot at 100 and cold side on 82 or so plus her hiding box water and what not shes doing good.On the other note the 2 have have down stairs there in a 6ft by 3ft tortoise table thats sweet! But in MI it getts around 65 degress down there at night. But thats with no light i have 3 lights on them during the day downstairs and its 85 or so under the lights. idk if i should put them all in the tank till summer when it gets warmer or not? i do house them in the tank at night due to chillie sometimes but day time let them down there. And get soked every other day.

Should i house them in the tank all the time? or just night time fine for the 2 and let them run around all day 3 lights at 85 degress on 2 and prolly 90's if not more on hot spot.Just wondering so they look great when they get older and happy thanks:)

ps.. tank is usally 80s at night

If you don't have any humidity in the enclosure downstairs, 65 is fine for a low, but I would be concerned about your high. I would bump it up to around 95 - 100 during the day. Your tortoises might need the temperatures a little warmer than 85 in order to digest their food.

Ok i do feed them a dish when i go to work and its almost gone when i get home then i put all 3 in the tank for night and they all 3 eat again. I already have a 150watt bulb on the hot spot in the basment any other ideas?

With the 150w bulb the basking area is 85 degrees?

All I can think of is a space heater, or even a new enclosure would help. A tortoise table isn't going to retain much heat, if any.

Wal-mart for 30 - 50 bucks. There are quite a few options out there that range in price and as with most things, you get what you pay for.
