Greetings…. Seems like a very expensive way to create a “bioactive” habitat. The advert seems to be targeted for Pancake tortoises. Is that the kind of tort you have?

Yup, looking at setting up a bioactive substrate setup for my pancake tortoise at some point. I just want to make sure I do everything right before starting. Yeah, from what I am understanding their substrate mixes are hand poured and inspected. It comes with cork and plants. Again, if you have other recommendations please share. I'm fairly new to tortoise care.

This is the first I’ve heard of using cork as substrate. Is this common amongst pancake tortoises?
