This may be a weird request, but does anyone out there have a sully who was badly pyramided but grew to be big anyway? My vet and I would be interested in seeing pictures. How does a badly pyramided tort turn out in the long run if they survive their early upbringing?

I hope to get there some day with Squirt, he had severe pyramiding at 4-5 months old. He's about a year old right now and he is growing smooth since being changed to proper care. Those pyramids will never go away, they will always be on the shell, but will hopefully be tiny little nubs on a smooth shell in the future. He's not very big, though, but I'll share the difference 8 months can make anyway!

This is Charlie and Lucy, Kim had rescued these two. They had some bad pyramiding. Not sure what we decided on age, but they went to Carli in Texas. I'm sure she will update us. But the reason I posted them is because, the damage is already done. There is no reversing the pyramiding. Charlie also has MBD. He will always have those bumps, poor guy. But I'm gonna tell you, those bumps and the MBD did not slow him down...

Do a search for RV. She was pyramided as a youngster, but is a gorgeous 80 pound female now.

Also look at Daisy in here:

She was badly pyramided as a 12 week old baby, but is doing really well and growing normally now at five years old.

When I got Chuck he was about 9 months and he had started to pyramid.
Here is one of his earlier photos:

I don't consider him to be big now. He weighs just 20 pounds at about 3 years old. He is however healthy, active, and quite personable.
Here is a recent photo:

This is Walker, These pics were taken this morning, the sun was low in the sky and cast good shadows to show the pyramiding from when he was young. Somewhere I have some polaroids from when he was little but have not come across them for years.

Thank you to everyone who posted pictures! I am forwarding them to my vet. She is very knowledgable about sulatas and has of course seen many badly pyramided ones, but not how they turn out years later. I appreciate all of your help!:)
