Hello everyone,
I'm gonna ship some supplies for my tortoise from the US next week and I want to buy cuttlebone for my tortoise. I'm not sure what brand is good. Also should I be getting the cuttlebone that are made for birds? Some sources say that it's not healthy and some say it's fine. Recommendations on brands would be really appreciated! Thanks.

I would get the bird kind, because it's the same thing and cheaper than a "reptile one". Just get a normal looking white one, I wouldn't get a different colored or one which is dyed.

Thanks! Is any brand okay? The thing is I'll be buying this in bulk since shipping is pretty expensive so once I buy it, I'll be stuck with the same brand for a few months, so I'd rather get a good quality one.

try to buy it loose at a feed store. If possible $0.25 a piece.

I've ordered it from carolinapetsupply when I order my TNT. Happy with both products. TNT is total nutrition for tortoises, a dietary powder blend of dried grasses, flowers and plants. #notanad

brands don't matter. All cuttlebone is the skeleton of the cuttlefish, not a manufactured product. If you can find a place to buy it bulk it's cheaper.

WHAT IN THE WORLD?!?!?!? YOU'RE BUYING EXPLOSIVES WITH YOUR CUTTLEBONE!!!!?!?!
(lol jk I've heard of TNT supplements for tortoises) I might try out the TNT supplements but may I ask, if I do get it, do I sprinkle it on every feeding? or only 1-2 a week like calcium supplements? Also do I get it with the probiotic things? (no idea what that is)
Thanks
