Can anyone give me a recommendation as to where's best to buy weeds from?
Thanks

Shelled Warriors is an excellent site. Anything they sell would more than likely be fine for your tortoise.

You really can't buy "weeds" but if you do a GOOGLE search for certain kinds, you may come up with places that sell the seeds. However, you can't just use the word 'weed' or you just get the marijuana sites. So, look for dandelion seed, sow thistle seed, etc. and maybe you can find places that sell those.

Most of us pick our weeds around our neighborhood.

Thank you, I was looking at the other items on the shelled warrior site and noticed they also sell the pellet food for tortoises but I was under the impression these were not recommended at all?

Yes I did notice that when I googled weeds! This kit looks ideal and many people seem to recommend the site do think I'll go with them, just hope they grow successfully!

Thanks again

I'm wary of picking weeds from the neighbourhood because I'm not up on types and what's good for him and what's not.

Getting your tortoise used to eating pellets is a good thing. There are times when the fresh foods aren't available and if he is used to the taste and feel of pellets and will eat them, it will tide you over until you can get the fresh foods again. Tortoise pellets are fine as part of a varied diet.

I'm going to give you a link to a good site that has pictures of the different plants and weeds that you can feed your tortoise. Also on that site, look around for their booklet that you can print out and take with you on weed-picking excursions:
