I purchased this hatchling in September from Arizona Tortoise Compound and he was around a month old when I got him. I thought I would post some pics of him and his temporary enclosure for you guys to see. I've been trying to follow everything I've read on the site and he seems to be doing pretty good.

Whoa! Time for a bigger enclosure.

What does he weigh now?
He was weighed at the vet about a month ago and was 76 grams, I'm not sure what his weight is now. I know it's time to upgrade his enclosure, but all he does is eat and sleep under his log. If he was more active and seemed like he needed more room I would have upgraded it by now. I've kept him in this aquarium for now because I'm able to keep the humidity high. I've read your articles about how important humidity is. What would you recommend for upgrading his enclosure?

Well he looks great Scott. Andy should be proud.

For his enclosure, I would recommend you build a 4x8' closed chamber. I know this sounds big, but you will only have to do it once and it will only be for a year or two tops. A 4x8' gives them enough room indoors to last them until they move outdoors full time. Depending on your climate of course. Here is one example: http://www.tortoiseforum.org/threads/closed-chambers.32333/

If you build it like mine and put the heating and lighting inside it will probably use the same amount of electricity that you are using now, or close to it.

My current setup is very similar to yours. I need to change/correct the UVB light and CHE that came from the seller.
