Hi byfaithalone:

Welcome to the Forum!!

May we know your name and where you are?

You can offer live worms, crickets, water plants. I've even floated a chunk of zucchini for my water turtles.

They need to be feed protein for 6 months of their life such as earthworms and mealworms. Then after that feed a variety of a diet with dark greens, protein, pellets and vitamin. That's just the jist. But go to austinsturtpage.com for more info on your little guy but Give them what I said and that will help them alot also go to that site for detail or pm me I'll help u

I like to mix it up for the baby water turtles, everything Yvonne G said, plus other items.I also feed several types of the pelleted foods, Petco has a water turtle diet(small pellets) that I used for hatchling RES along with Wardleys,Reptomin, etc, and several types of floating fish pellets, they will usually eat just about everything you offer. They will probably eat the baby food as long as you offer it,It will not hurt them to eat it as they grow. Len
