I am getting a baby RF in the morning. I have the enclosure all set up. I have a half log hide, coco for substrate, food & water dishes. For lighting I have a standard UV light and a basking light. Question is do I need the basking light or should I just get a CHE for the heat? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

I'm guessing I might have to change the substrate to sphagnum moss and use a CHE instead of a basking light.

This depends on where abouts you are, i should imagine that its an indoor enclosure, i would buy a CHE rather than the basking light.
I would get the CHE anyway because you will need it sooner or later!
I hate the basking lights because they give of light, thus disturbing the sleep pattern of the reptile,

If it were me,I'd change the substrate to cypress, with sphagnum in the hide. Ditch the basking light and replace with a CHE. Your redfoot will thank you.
