Yes, they eat a lot every day. Please post pictures of your tortoise in its enclosure so we can try to figure out what's happening. We'll need to see the lights, substrate, hiding places, etc.

Most breeders don't start babies correctly. They keep them much too dry, don't soak enough, and don't introduce the right foods.

You will need to feed the tortoise what ever the breeder fed it, and gradually introduce all the good stuff very slowly and in small amounts at first.

Most people also don't house them correctly and advise others to do it all wrong too. If the torotise is in the wont conditions, wrong substrate, wrong temps, these things kill the appetite too. Here is the correct care info: https://tortoiseforum.org/threads/the-best-way-to-raise-a-sulcata-leopard-or-star-tortoise.181497/

You've gotten the old wrong care advice. You cannot maintain the correct living conditions in an open topped enclosure with dry substrate. This happens to most people.

Click the link and read the care sheet I posted for you above. The tortoise will probably not survive if you don't make some immediate changes, including keeping the tortoise warm at night tonight.

Questions are welcome.

Everything about your little guy's living space is too wide open and dry. Baby tortoises are prey and you very seldom see a baby out in the open like that. Try to figure out a way to give him more cover - potted plants set around inside the enclosure, visual barriers, etc - and a substrate you can moisten. You may need to line the enclosure with a shower curtain to protect it from the moist substrate (baby sulcatas hatch out during the monsoon season when everything is humid, wet and green).

Once you give him more cover it may make him feel comfortable enough to eat more.

Welcome all the advice you have been given is spot on. These same members guided me through getting my baby sully to proper care. Forget what you have learned from other sites or a pet store. My sully would only eat iceberg lettuce. Like Tom said introduce small amounts of different greens in the food and gradually add more. It will also take a little tough love. Don't let your tortoise win the fight. ?
It's like raising a child. ?
Also remember no fruit. The sugar is not good for their kidneys and digestive system.
