Well here are a few pics of my BMT table and a pic of the little guy being shy after his soaking. This is currently in my attic, may be moving it depending on temps in the summer.

That's a nice size for that little guy. A few more plants to make it more crowded would make him more comfortable.

Yea im gonna work on that, maybe go to the nursery this weekend. Just installed a Thermal Mat instead of the CHE seems to not dry out the substrate as much.

Very nice enclosure. However I encourage you to look at the "big picture". Once he gets around 3 years old it will not work. You have to be commited to this species if you're going to keep them up North. They get big. And when I say big I mean they're REALLY big indoors. Mine have their own rooms, thermostatically and humidity controlled, fortified. When they get past the age of 5 they become very restless when March/April comes along up here. Meaning they want outside. They're not diggers, but they are scrapers, and extremely strong. I'm not trying to discourage you, but you really have to plan ahead if you're going to keep this species up here. When he's 6yrs old with a SLC @ 11" and 15 lbs, where will he be kept indoors during the Winter months? With a climate that is necessary for for this species? Think about that. Best of luck and PM me if you want to talk more about it. I'm in NE Ohio, same as Buffalo weather wise.

Thanks for the input. I am fully aware of the size. He is quite small now and will be for some time though. I have a large house and backyard. I will def be setting up an outdoor pen once hes big enough for me to feel comfortable leaving him outside. And of course an indoor cage during winter months..

Excellent. These guys are a lot of fun once they get older. Their personalities really come out.
