Alive and well as they "float" around enjoying the warmer water temps!

Above is the "basking-board" that leads to the nest-box.

Betsy enjoys "basking" -

Here from the INTO angle -

"Turtle-tracks" in the 20" x 32" x 8" deep nest-box -

And a female Diamondback Terrapin is making them -

She knows how to "LOOK!" -

And when she EXISTS she scrubs the sand off her belly -

Bo is always in pursuit -

Occasionally he does stop to eat - Reptomin.. Fluker.. Aquamax.. and Shrimp pellets -

[ what you see on the bottom of their tub is sand and uneaten pellets.. those powerful jaws 'crush' the pellets before they can absorb any water - and the shrimp pellets sink so Bo sits on the bottom and really messes everything up!!! I have a long-handled net to scoop up what they don't eat and the filters ( 500 gallons per hour ) don't filter out.. every 24 hours ]

None of this could possibly be 'staged'.. they seldom are still while in the water.. and they don't like to be picked up --- so I enjoy from a distance... hope you have also...................

Beautiful DBTs, and a great setup, what are the ramps made from?

If you get to selling the offspring, put me on the waiting list.

The ramps are simply rubber mats cut to size.. the 'pile' is about 1/2" deep.. is really "not sharp".. makes for great traction and helps clean their plastron when they return to the water.

I'm just a genious guys -

- ask Kristina?!

Seriously.. I used to be a machinists locally where they make these mats. They are about 2' x 3' and make great shoe and boot "cleaner-offers" with the deep pile ---- also make great turtle/tortoise ramps.. amazing traction for them.
