Box turtle

Hello I found another box turtle in my field sitting on in an open spot
she's probably a couple years old but she clearly has a ear infection he right cheek area behind her mouth is swollen and I was just wondering if this will fix its self in the wild
I'm gonna leave her be but I was just curious.

I have no idea if it will fix itself. I do know that any animal taken from the wild can’t be released again. Things happen and you have to let it go and hope.

I am always amazed by wildlife camera people who film the triumphs and tragedies of nature and somehow manage to stay detached and not intervene. It’s very hard.

Is there wild life rehabber in your area?

They can treat and release, but only if they know the exact location the turtle was in.
