maggots, I did find in a tortoise rehab that it has been used, so guessing it is safe
Just pick them out with tweezers. Put a few drops of peroxide on the wound and get them as they wiggle out. Keep adding peroxide until they're all out.
I soaked a box turtle in warm water with diluted peroxide as stated above. Kills them and the eggs.
Capstar diluted with water is the fastest way to kill maggots and less stressful, (used in dogs/cats). Did the peroxide as I didn't know if Capstar was safe, peroxide was way slower and time consuming took serval treatments.
