Boy or Girl?

hello, is this a boy or girl sulcata? I believe it is 2-3 years old.

Looking female but too young yet to 100%. It could still change. A lot depends on how it was raised. Too dry and wrong foods it could be slow to mature. Give it another 1 to 2 years and a bit more size or until it flashes you if it were to be Male.

Its a juvenile. Too young to tell yet. They usually have to be at least 14 inches, and some you really can't be sure until they are 16-17 inches. Some males will flash earlier than that, but if you don't see that, then its either a female, or a male that you didn't see flash.

Also, its best not to flip them like that. Have someone hold the tortoise with the carapace against their body the nose nose pointing up toward the sky to get good plastron pics.
