Bug Problem!

I have a Cherry head tortoise (Petrammeus) that I house inside. In the cage I recently changed the substrate to organic peat moss soil and noticed little rusty colored bugs... I'm thinking that they are springtails but need another opinion. They also seem to have 6 legs and stubby antennas, about 2mm long Images of bugs:

Definitely not a mite or a springtail. Looks more like a beetle to me.

Could it be a baby springtail?

They look like little beetles to me. I would leave them, they will likely eat discarded food and waste.

No. It's hard to judge how big that insect is in a picture but It it looks like no springtail or mite I've ever seen. Springtails aren't round. Google pictures of mites and springtails to compare it to. I wouldn't worry about that little creature. He's no harm to you or your tortoise.

Thank you... Also the bugs are around 1-2 millimeters

It is a beetle. 100%. Adult.

I can't tell you more than that because I would need a really clear, close picture. Likely nothing to worry about.
