let me just jump to my problem first...i can spot some tiny bugs in my torts home a week ago...yeaterday i checked on em and they were a lot of em...so did a complete change of soil and now i have changed the complete soil to coco peat or fiber with some topsoil mixed in it...

It would be really helpful if u could tell me how can i keep the bugs in check or how to kill em but without any damage to the torts?,??????? the tort is a star tortoise.

Bugs came from some of my wood. Could they be coming from your enclosure material or do you use a wood hide? (Mine were in a tree log hide thingy)

If you microwave the substrate on each side for a few minutes, it might help. I've never had bugs since I've done that, but it could also be because I switched out the wood hide.

Diatomaceous earth - but it must be kept dry. Doesn't work anymore if it gets wet.
