Hi! I recently found these tiny little bugs hanging around my tortoises water dish is this something I need to worry about? He is about to move into a new cage I built myself but I’m not sure if these bugs are gonna be a problem. He is acting totally fine eating and active as always. Thank you!

Eventually everyone or almost everyone gets bugs in their enclosure. You can help keep them away longer by baking the substrate before using. 200-250 for about 3 hours. You can boil it too but baking it seems easier to me.

They are part of a beneficial clean up crew.
