Bump on Ear

My baby sulcata tortoise has a bump on her ear area and I'm not sure what it is. Opinions? And should she be taken to the vet?

Its a little hard to tell from the picture, could you try to post a more close-up shot? Is your tort acting normal otherwise?

I think it's a little too low to be an ear abscess, but it does look like you could pick it off. Gently try picking and see what happens.

I would >Try< to apply a warm wet rag to the spot for a minute and see if it peels off and if so what is underneath. If it is cheesy or waxy it is likely an abscess. If it is red and raw it may have just been a scratch. I would have some triple antibiotic ointment on hand just in case.

If it doesn't come off easily do NOT force it!

Thanks everyone. I'm going to try putting her in a warm bath and see if it softens up and try to get a better look
