It says its a "blend." Read the ingredients to see what its blended with.

I've sent a PM to Josh about the banning.

You don't want it blended with cedar or pine, especially pine that's very toxic to tortoises...hey jagsrule100...I am very impressed that you listened to our advice and changed things around immediately. You did a good job and your baby will benefit from it. Now...how far from the substrate is the UVB light? It should be about 18 inches or less...(I kinda hate to tell you that now that you have the lights all screwed into place)

To add a bit to what Maggie said, you should check what the directions on your UV light package say. Some say it should be 12" or MORE from the substrate. Some of us feel it should be 12" or more from the tortoise's back.

Ok, i'll make sure i get Cypress mulch with no pine or cedar in it :)

I checked the UVB light package and the heat light package and it doesn't say anything on both of them, but i just measured from the substrate to the light and it is exactly 18 inches lol.

The temperature was 95 degrees under the heat light before i left, i will check tomorrow to see how high the temperature gets.

Thank you for your help :)
